Jean can't help herself from coaching actors because it's always about the person and seeing them succeed. This is why she includes coaching as part of the Audition Taping.
She also loves to mentor and coach outside of an audition. Actors love working with her for her industry and acting experience. They also see the value of learning different styles of acting and learning the ropes in a complicated industry. Her insights are invaluable to seasoned and new actors.
FAQ
DSY Productions tries to hold extra time between sessions, but that is not always possible. We book our schedules based on the session lengths requested by our clients. So please be honest with yourself when booking – it takes a superhero to tape 6 pages in 30 minutes!
We don't want to rush you, but we must respect our other clients' time as well. We will happily work with you for as long as you need to feel satisfied with your tape, so long as it doesn't impose on another client. If you have not booked enough time and another client is waiting, you may have to come back for another session.
At the same time, we don't encourage over booking as you are financially responsible for the time you schedule. If you have any questions about how long your audition may take, feel free to contact us when you book.
You tape yourself with your own Phone or camera, while we coach & read via video conferencing.
Our virtual sessions are as close to a live taping session as possible.
Your session includes coaching, reading, and technical support (best eye line, sound, lighting advice, etc.).
You will need to send us your material ahead of time and we will send you a virtual link.
You will need to do the upload.
For self-tapes in our studio, if there is editing needed, DSY will do it. We shoot tapes to minimize the need for editing saving you time and money. For virtual taping, you will be doing your own editing.
If you prefer to edit and upload your auditions yourself, you can bring a SD card or a USB drive and we will upload the raw files to your drive to take home.
If you would like us to upload your audition, it is vital that you have your USERNAME & PASSWORD for any and all websites you need to upload to. If it is going to your agent or manager, DSY Productions will need their emails.
If you need any additional materials uploaded, emailing those to us ahead of time will save time (and money).
Be aware if there added notes that need to be included (where you are located, if you will be a local hire, if you are vaccinated, etc.), it saves time to have those available and ready so we can submit. However, we can upload your audition without submitting it, and you can add those notes later and submit it on your own, if you prefer.
